Ankle Injury
A good friend recommended Dr. Patrick after she experienced healing after suffering for months with chronic neck and shoulder pain. Auto Accident
My initial reason for coming to Newhouse Health Solutions was because I was involved in an auto accident; the pain was bad enough that I knew I needed help. What makes this office so unique is that it is not just geared for people with pain and symptoms, but also for those who are seeking out new ways of becoming healthier. While I have been under care I have become more aware of ways to keep myself healthy; like paying attention to what I put in my body. Autism
The original reason for seeking out care was that our 16 month old exhibited signs of an autoimmune disorder and increasing symptoms of autism. We originally sought care to go through a nutritional detoxification program, believing toxins might be contributing to his symptoms. We were seeing therapists and experimenting with diet changes.
At first we had a lot of questions and doubts about how chiropractic could help our autistic son. Dr. Newhouse was very patient about explaining upper cervical chiropractic and waiting on us to follow-up and be convinced this was the right option. We never felt pressured or pushed into a decision, but were allowed to take our time and look at all the details and facts. They supplied us with reading material and documentaries to do further research into the issue.
When we brought our son in for treatment, we began with a chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Newhouse assessed that his atlas needed aligned and adjusted him. Within two days, we began to see a decrease in our son’s autistic symptoms. Within a week, the symptoms had completely disappeared and he was speedily catching up to his peers developmentally.
What we love about Newhouse Health Solutions is the care, the professionalism, the flexibility, and the explanation of care. We also appreciate that they care more about people than making a profit. It is obvious that they really want to help and provide numerous options to be able to cover the cost, including payment plans, etc.

Back Pain
My reason for seeking care was for my extreme back pain since the age of 15, as well as migraine and tension headaches. I had been to two other chiropractors in the past as well as 6 months of physical therapy on two separate occasions, but nothing seemed to help.
I never realized how much my pain was hindering my daily activities. I could not fold a full load of laundry or do dishes without having to take frequent breaks because of the pain. After I would clean my house, I would be laid up for 3 to 4 days afterwards. Moreover, I would have headaches twice a month that lasted anywhere from 2 to 5 days. My only relief was a muscle relaxer. Not only did my pain affect my household activities, but also it affected me as a Physical Education teacher and Volleyball coach. I could not participate with my students the way I wanted to. It was frustrating to be 23 years old and in such debilitating pain.
Before my adjustment I had such a severe arch in my back that I was unable to lay flat. Immediately after my adjustment I was skeptical because it did not feel like Dr. Patrick did anything. But when I rested afterwards to let the correction set, there was no denying that something had changed. It was the very first time I was able to lay comfortably on my back. I had never known what that felt like before, it felt wonderful!
My back pain is pretty much gone now! I can go hours around the house doing my activities and not have to stop. It feels great to be more active again with my students and players. The only time I get a headache now is when I am out of alignment and I know just the place to go to get aligned again, Newhouse Health Solutions!

I can thank my mom for introducing me to Newhouse Health Solutions. I have been helped in so many ways since I started under care. Just when you are ready to give up you will find you can turn to Dr. Patrick and his staff for help. Every time you enter the office you will be greeted by very pleasant smiling faces and a kind word. This really helps me change my perspective, especially when I am having a rough day. In September of 2012 when I started going to NHS, I was barely able to walk, sit, lie down, or really do much of anything due to a back injury. I didn't smile, laugh, or have fun with family and friends; the days and nights were filled with tears, sadness, and prayers for all the pain to all be gone. Through the many treatments and added exercises, life is getting much better. I still have some pain, but it is tolerable and getting better every day. Back and Shoulder Pain
Newhouse Health Solutions checked my spine at a work health fair. I followed up by making an appointment for further evaluation. It was my first time to see a chiropractor. Depression
My original reason for seeking upper cervical care was out of pure desperation. I had severe depression and suicidal thoughts for thirteen years. I admitted myself to the mental hospital three different times thinking they could somehow help me. After taking a plethora of different medications including Lithium, Effexor, Zoloft, and Resperadol as well as seeking out traditional chiropractic care, NOTHING HELPED.
With the very first correction my mind was healed. I got up from the table and did not want to kill myself anymore! Before my upper cervical correction, I was a single mother with no hope for a healthy, stable life for myself or my daughter. A year after my first correction, I was married to a wonderful man who loves the Lord and loves my daughter as if it was his own child. Weeks after getting married we found out we were expecting and my 2nd daughter blessed us just three weeks before our 1st anniversary! Heart Attack like Symptoms
For the past three years, I had been experiencing excruciating pain with heart attack like symptoms where breathing became extremely difficult. It felt like my ribs and back were being squeezed and it would occur about three times a week. The attacks had gotten so bad that I went to the emergency room only for them to tell me they could not find anything wrong and to take 1800 mg of Ibuprofen and 2 muscle relaxers to manage the pain. I knew this was no way to live. I became very angry that there was no help and even had to quit softball because I never knew when an attack would hit. Scared that I was going to have to live with this for the rest of my life, I became extremely depressed.
Prior to me going to Newhouse Health Solution, I was going to a chiropractor who said they could help me. However, I found myself back in the emergency room again with the same symptoms and no answers. My husband, Mike, finally encouraged me to go to Newhouse Health Solutions but I was reluctant because I had already been to a chiropractor and it did not help. My husband swore this would be different. He was right!
What I thought was so exceptional about Newhouse Health Solutions is that they treat every case as unique as every person is. It was the first time ANYONE had ever done x-rays to see what was wrong with me. I was extremely disappointed to find that despite me going to another chiropractor for over a year, I still had a significant whiplash injury. Not only did Dr. Patrick treat me like a person instead of a case number, he also helped me get my life back!
I know it’s going to take time to get 100% because I had a significant injury to my spine from what the x-rays showed, but I have already seen tremendous improvement. My episodes are minimal and less frequent than the three years previously in which I was suffering terribly. More importantly, I am not angry and depressed anymore. Hormonal Issues
I was looking for answers for my frequent low fevers, fatigue, and frequent sore throats. Plus I had pain on the left side of my neck and headaches. I had gone to two other doctors who were not able to help but suggested more testing. Dr. Patrick had seen my condition before, explained to me how my hormones were being affected and knew what blood tests to order.
Since coming to Newhouse Health Solutions, I can’t remember when I had a headache last. My posture has improved and I feel like I have a place to go for any answers I might need. In fact, I ask many questions whenever I have an appointment and Dr. Patrick and Dr. Amber never seem to mind. They have been knowledgeable in recommending supplements which have helped remove toxins and build up my immune system.
I am still working toward feeling great, but I have hope now which is huge! I feel like I will be so much healthier on the other side of this.

Learning Disabilities and Pain

It seems that today the solution in the physician’s office is the writing of a prescription with little, if any, appropriate testing. Prior to coming to Newhouse Health Solutions I was not sure what to do with my state of health. Phrenic Nerve Pain
After injuring my Phrenic nerve (critical for respiration) in my first pregnancy, I experienced pain in my abdomen when it was touched that caused difficulty breathing and convulsive vomiting. Prior to coming to Newhouse Health Solutions, I was being careful not to put pressure on my abdomen but I was afraid it would get worse when the internet said the only solution was surgery! After my son received dramatic results with his Autism at Newhouse Health Solutions, I decided to see how they could help my health issue. Pregnancy
I came to see Dr. Patrick when I was expecting our third child. I was having some back pain, and my midwife recommended that I see a chiropractor. A good friend referred me to Dr. Patrick. My back pain went away the next day after the adjustment. I continued to see Dr. Patrick through the rest of my pregnancy. Dr. Patrick assured me that good chiropractic care would lead to easier labor. Our beautiful baby girl was born after only three hours of labor. Scoliosis
A friend encouraged my family that Newhouse Health Solutions would be helpful for my daughter. She had a scoliosis which was progressively getting worse over a five year period despite regular visits to another chiropractor. Not only was there a friendly atmosphere at Newhouse Health Solutions and a general "how can we help you?" attitude, but also the adjustment technique was impressive. However, the most unique part of my experience was the fact that Dr. Patrick prayed with us! In three months after seeing Dr. Patrick, there was an 11 degree improvement in her spine. Thyroid Problems
I attended a talk that Dr. Patrick Newhouse did. I was seeking out how I could feel better and lose weight. All my joints hurt and I seemed to be stuck dieting. I saw both regular doctors and counselors for this in the past.
Dr. Newhouse took time to discuss with me what my options were. We looked at allergy testing, thyroid testing, chiropractic care, and supplements. Once the results of the test were in, he designed a program that worked around my personal needs. Even before the results came, we worked on some different supplements and chiropractic care. At this point, I have lost 28 pounds in three months and I am moving much better. I feel like a new person. Learning about my allergies and sensitivities, as well as thyroid problems, has helped me to take charge of my health. I was introduced to Dr. Patrick when he taught a weight loss class at a local college.
In the past, I had tried different diets and would lose a little weight only to gain it right back. It was a never ending cycle and it became depressing for me.
After I attended the wellness class, I knew I had to "get my head on straight." I immediately made an appointment and committed to Dr. Newhouse to start eating healthier.
